Enrique Guerrero Killed, Juan Segovia Injured in Martin County Crash on SH-176

Martin County, Texas (September 23, 2019) – One man was killed and another was injured in a two-vehicle crash on Sunday in Martin County, a local news source reported.

The collision took place on Sunday, September 22, on State Highway 176.

Authorities said Juan Segovia, 50, of Penitas, was driving westbound on the highway while Enrique Guerrero, 44, of Deming, NM, was heading eastbound.

The left front tire of Segovia blew out causing him to lose control and strike Guerrero.

It was raining at the time of the crash.

Guerrero was declared dead at the scene. Segovia was taken to Midland Memorial Hospital with non-incapacitating injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
