Eric Jason Lane Killed in Mineral Wells Pedestrian Accident on U.S. 180

Mineral Wells, Texas (October 21, 2020) – A person was killed Monday night in a pedestrian accident in Mineral Wells, according to the Texas DPS.

The deadly accident happened around 11:40 p.m., October 19, on U.S. 180, near Lake Mineral Wells State Park.

According to a preliminary investigation, a 2018 Chevrolet Cruz, driven by Candy L. Lister, 43, of Mineral Wells, was traveling westbound on the highway when it struck Eric Jason Lane, 47, of Avon, Indiana, who was lying in the roadway.

Lane was pronounced dead at the scene.

No other details were provided.

An investigation is underway.
