Eric Rojas and Isidro Mendoza Killed in Channelview Industrial Accident at Spitzer Industries on Industrial Road
Channelview, Texas (April 6, 2019) – The two men who were killed Thursday night in an industrial accident in Channelview near the Houston Ship Channel inside the Brown Industrial Park have been identified as Eric Rojas and Isidro Mendoza, according to the officials.
The deadly accident occurred at about 9:00 p.m. April 4, in the 13800 block of Industrial Road at Spitzer Industries.
Deputies said a large piece of heavy equipment flipped onto several employees at the shipyard, trapping them.
One of the men was pronounced dead at the scene. The other victim was airlifted to the hospital where he later died.
No further details were provided.
An investigation is ongoing.
