Family of Five Seriously Injured in Dallas Two-Vehicle Crash on Harry Hines Boulevard; Markevin Sagastume Arrested

Dallas, Texas (August 12, 2023) – A family of five was seriously injured Thursday night after being involved in a crash with a suspected drunk driver in Northwest Dallas, according to the police.

The crash happened around 10:15 p.m., August 10, in the 11300 block of Harry Hines Boulevard, near Royal Lane and Interstate 35E.

Police said a car occupied by a father, mother, and their three children, was sitting at a red light when it was rear-ended by a suspected drunk driver.

One of the adults and two of the children were taken to the hospital in critical condition. The other adult and another child were taken to the hospital in stable condition.

The suspected drunk driver, Markevin Sagastume, 25, was arrested on a charge of intoxication assault.

The police are investigating the crash.
