Man Killed in San Antonio Pedestrian Accident on Interstate 10 near Hackberry

San Antonio, Texas (October 18, 2022) – A man was fatally hit by a car Sunday morning in San Antonio, according to the police.

The deadly accident happened just before 7:30 a.m., October 16, on Interstate 10 near Hackberry.

Police said the man was driving a GMC Yukon erratically in the eastbound lanes when he lost control, and the vehicle flipped over, ejecting him. He landed in the main lanes of the interstate and was struck by a passing white Toyota Camry.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not been released. His passenger was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The Camry driver stayed at the scene after the accident.

The police are investigating the crash.
