Floyd Hitzfeld Killed in Traffic Accident on Bandera Road in San Antonio

Floyd Hitzfeld ID’d as Person Killed in San Antonio Car Accident on Bandera Road
San Antonio, Texas (February 16, 2019) – The person who was killed late Tuesday afternoon in a traffic accident involving a Bexar County constable in San Antonio has been identified as Floyd Hitzfeld, 86, according to authorities.
The deadly crash was reported at about 3:15 p.m. Tuesday, February 12 in the 7600 block of Bandera Road.
Authorities said a Chevrolet Tahoe driven by Kelvin O’Neil, 40, was traveling on Bandera Road, with its emergency lights turned on, when it was cut off by a 2014 Subaru BRZ, resulting in a crash.
Hitzfeld, who was a passenger in the Subaru, was killed in the crash.
No other injuries were reported.
O’Neil told authorities that he thought that the Subaru was pulling over and instead, it drifted across the northbound lanes.
The crash remains under investigation.
