Construction Worker Killed in San Antonio Hit-and-Run Accident on Loop 1604 at Hausman Road
San Antonio, Texas (September 26, 2019) – A construction worker was killed in a hit-and-run accident early Thursday morning in San Antonio, according to a local news source.
The accident occurred at about 4:15 a.m. on Loop 1604 at Hausman Road.
Police said the worker was collecting barrels along the westbound lanes of Loop 1604 when they were hit by a dark gray-colored SUV, possibly a Ford Explorer.
The victim was declared dead at the scene.
The driver fled the scene after the accident.
Investigators believe the SUV has extensive damage to the front and/or the right side of the vehicle.
An investigation is underway. Anyone with about the crash is asked to call 911.
