George Weldon Collier Killed, Colby Eugene Collier and Samantha Jo Allen Injured in Troy Two-Vehicle Crash on FM 935

Troy, Texas (January 29, 2020) – One person was killed, and three others were injured in a two-vehicle crash Monday afternoon in Troy, according to the DPS.

The fatal crash happened just before 5:00 p.m. on January 27, on FM 935.

DPS said Colby Eugene Collier, 25, of Troy, was driving a 2007 Nissan pickup truck southbound when he crossed into the path of a northbound 2018 Chevrolet pickup driven by Samantha Jo Allen, 28, of Red Oak, and the two vehicles collided.

George Weldon Collier, 63, of Troy, who was a passenger in the Nissan, was declared dead at the scene.

Colby, Allen, and a 27-year-old man, who was a passenger in the Chevrolet, were taken to Scott & White Medical Center for treatment.

The crash remains under investigation.
