Gilbert Espinoza Killed in San Antonio Pedestrian Accident on North Colorado Street

San Antonio, Texas (August 31, 2020) – A man was hit and killed by a car Saturday night near San Antonio’s West Side, according to police.

The deadly accident happened around 9:20 p.m., August 29, in the area of W Martin Street and North Colorado Street.

Police said a woman in her 30s was driving southbound on North Colorado Street when Gilbert Espinoza, 34, walked in front of her vehicle. The woman didn’t see Espinoza because the area was dark and she hit him.

The woman stopped and called 911. She was not intoxicated at the time of the crash.

Espinoza was taken to University Hospital, where he later died.

An investigation is ongoing.
