Hector Saenz Arrested in Fatal El Paso Hit-and-Run on Interstate 10

El Paso, Texas (November 8, 2022) – According to the police, a man has been arrested in connection to the hit-and-run accident that left a bicyclist dead on Sunday in El Paso.

42-year-old Hector Octavio Saenz was arrested on Sunday.

The deadly accident occurred around 3:30 a.m., November 6, on Interstate 10 near Dallas. 

Police said 25-year-old Kayci Deaundre McCrory was riding an electric bicycle on the far right lane of the interstate when he was struck by a Ford Raptor driven by Saenz.

Saenz fled the scene.

As McCrory was lying on the roadway, he was struck by a second vehicle that was exiting the interstate at Dallas.

McCrory was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the second vehicle remained at the scene.

Saenz was arrested on Sunday night and was booked into the El Paso County Jail. He was being held on a $10,000 bond.

The police are investigating the crash.
