Martin County, Texas (November 18, 2022) – Authorities have identified the person who died on Saturday following a traffic collision in Martin County as Hilario Juarez, 58.

The deadly crash took place at the intersection of CR D3400 and SH 176 on Saturday, November 12.

Authorities said a 2003 Freightliner hauling a trailer was heading northbound on CR D3400, approaching the intersection of SH 176 when the driver allegedly ran a red light and collided with a 1997 Ford F-350 that was being driven westbound on SH 176 by Juarez.

Juarez died upon the impact.

The driver of the Freightliner did not suffer any injuries.

No other details regarding the crash were immediately available.

The crash remains under investigation.
