Man Dies after Fort Worth Car Crash on Northside Drive near I-35

Fort Worth, Texas (August 6, 2019) – A homeless man succumbed to his injuries after being involved in a traffic collision that left five other people dead early Monday morning in Fort Worth.

According to the authorities, the wreck took place at around 2 a.m. Monday, August 5, on Northside Drive near I-35.

Police said a truck carrying five people traveled off the side of Northside Drive and slammed into a tree. The vehicle then burst into flames and a homeless man sleeping in a tent nearby was also caught up in the fire.

The man was rushed to Parkland Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead on Monday afternoon. His identity was not immediately released.

The five occupants of the involved truck died in the collision.

The authorities are investigating the crash.
