Houston Woman Hospitalized after Victoria Car Crash on U.S. 59 near FM 444
Victoria, Texas (August 7, 2019) – A woman was injured in a three-vehicle collision on Tuesday evening in Victoria County, according to the authorities.
The incident was reported at around 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday, August 6, on U.S. 59 near FM 444.
Authorities said a GMC Sierra was traveling northbound on U.S. 59 when it slowed down to avoid a Honda Sonata that was pulling into the highway from a rest stop.
The GMC was then rear-ended by a truck-tractor towing a semi-trailer.
A passenger in the GMC sustained minor injuries and was transported to Citizens Medical Center for treatment.
The driver of the Honda was cited for failure to yield to the right-of-way.
The driver of the big rig was cited for failure to control speed.
