Hunter Dorram Hit, Killed by Vehicle on Interstate 20 in Harrison County

Hunter Dorram ID’d as Man Killed in Harrison County Pedestrian Accident on Interstate 20 near Waskom

Harrison County, Texas (January 31, 2023) – The Texas Department of Public Safety has identified the man who died after he was struck by a vehicle on Monday night in Harrison County as Hunter J. Dorram, 23, of Grand Prairie.

The deadly crash happened at around 7:10 p.m. Monday, January 30, on Interstate 20, one mile west of Waskom.

DPS said a 2020 Freightliner Truck Tractor towing a Utility Trailer was heading westbound on Interstate 20 when Dorram ran into the roadway on the westbound side from the median.

The front left side of the Freightliner then hit Dorram.

Dorram was declared dead at the scene. The driver of the Freightliner, James B. Ford, 56, of Tyler, was not injured.

The weather condition was rainy at the time of the accident.

An investigation into the crash is underway.
