Innocent Person Injured in Chase Crash near S. Barker Cypress and Westheimer in Houston

One Injured in West Harris County Multi-Vehicle Crash near S. Barker Cypress and Westheimer

Houston, Texas (January 15, 2020) – One person was injured after a police chase ended in a crash Wednesday afternoon in west Harris County, according to the police.

The crash occurred around 12:15 p.m., near the intersection of S. Barker Cypress and Westheimer.

Police said they attempted to stop the driver of a black Dodge Charger, but he took off. The officers pursued the driver, and after a brief chase, the Charger crashed into at least two vehicles, including an HPD patrol unit near the intersection. 

A person in the other car was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

The suspect was arrested at the scene. 

The crash remains under investigation.
