The Dodge crossed into the westbound lane on a curve and struck a 2006 Nissan pickup truck driven by a 42-year-old man before crashing into the Toyota.
The force of the impact pushed the Toyota off the northbound side of the highway and into a water-filled ditch.

The Toyota driver and another passenger, as well as the Dodge driver, were taken to Scott & White Medical Center in Temple with non-incapacitating injuries.
The crash closed the roadway for several hours.
The troopers are investigating the crash.

They often ask how such a life-altering event could have happened to them,” attorney Joel A. Gordon said. “The next question usually is, who can help me?” Mr. Gordon added.
