Jawad Salame ID’d as Driver Killed in Arlington Collision on West Green Oaks Boulevard and Waterview Drive

Arlington, Texas (May 13, 2023) – Authorities have identified the driver who died following a Monday evening collision in Arlington as Jawad Salame, 18, of Fort Worth.

The deadly crash happened at around 6:00 p.m. Monday, May 8 on West Green Oaks Boulevard and Waterview Drive.

According to the authorities, Salame was driving a BMW 428i northbound on West Green Oaks Boulevard when he failed to stop for a red light and collided with a Nissan Pathfinder that was traveling eastbound on Waterview Drive.

After the impact, the BMW struck a light pole in a median and overturned.

Salame was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.

The driver of the Pathfinder was treated at the scene.

Further details regarding the collision were immediately provided.

The crash remains under investigation.
