Jeffrey Burton Injured in DUI Crash on U.S. 69 in Grayson County

Jeffrey Burton Seriously Injured in Grayson County Collision on U.S. 69 near Shaffer Road

Grayson County, Texas (December 27, 2022) – 61-year-old Jeffrey Burton of Farmersville was seriously injured in an alleged DUI Crash in Grayson County on Thursday morning, authorities said.

The crash occurred at about 3:00 a.m. Thursday, December 22 on U.S. 69 near Shaffer Road.

According to authorities, 31-year-old Samuel Mozo of Denison was driving a Ford van northbound on U.S. 69 when he allowed the vehicle to cross the center median and hit a southbound Chevrolet SUV, driven by Burton.

Burton suffered major injuries in the crash and was taken to Texoma Medical Center.

Mozo, who sustained minor injuries, was arrested and charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon and DWI.

No further details were provided.

The crash remains under investigation.
