Jennifer Pyeatt Seriously Injured in Lubbock Multi-Vehicle Crash at 130th Street and Slide Road

Lubbock, Texas (March 16, 2022) – Three people were injured Tuesday morning in a multi-vehicle crash in Lubbock, according to the police.

The crash happened just after 9:00 a.m., on March 15, at the intersection of 130th Street and Slide Road.

Police said a pickup truck pulling a trailer was traveling southbound on Slide Road when it went through the intersection and struck a Corvette driven by Jennifer Pyeatt, 48, which was heading eastbound on 130th Street.

The pickup then collided with a second pick-up, pushing it into a guardrail. The trailer of the first pickup truck became unhitched and slid southbound on Slide Road. A northbound SUV was then struck by debris from the initial pick-up truck.

Pyeatt was taken to University Medical Center with serious injuries.

The drivers of both pick-up trucks sustained moderate injuries in the crash.

The Lubbock Police Department’s Major Crash Unit is investigating the crash.
