Jesse Cruz Killed in Killeen Hit-and-Run Crash on Clear Creek Road near Mohawk Drive

Killeen, Texas (August 13, 2022) – A man was killed early Saturday morning in a hit-and-run accident in Killeen, according to the police.

The deadly accident happened just before 1:00 a.m., on Clear Creek Road near Mohawk Drive.

Police said Jesse Robert Cruz, 23, was riding a motorcycle when he lost control while tuning the curve on NB Clear Creek Road and crashed into the grassy median. Cruz was ejected into the inside lane and was hit by an unknown vehicle which then fled the scene heading northbound.

Cruz was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators are looking for a gray pickup truck with major undercarriage damage.

Anyone with any information about the accident is asked to call the police.

An investigation is underway.
