Jesus Maldonado Killed in Weslaco Pedestrian Accident on FM 88 North

Weslaco, Texas (December 28, 2022) – A man was killed Tuesday evening in a pedestrian accident north of Weslaco, according to the Texas DPS.

The deadly accident happened around 6:30 p.m., December 27, on FM 88 North of Mile 11.

DPS said Jesus Maldonado, 75, was crossing the highway from the eastbound to the westbound side when he was struck by a northbound red Ford Mustang.

Maldonado was pronounced dead at the scene.

No further details were provided.

The troopers are investigating the crash.
