John Guerra Killed in Corpus Christi Pedestrian Accident on Gollihar Road near Helen Street

Corpus Christi, Texas (November 23, 2023) – The 68-year-old man who died on Monday after being involved in a hit-and-run accident on Sunday in Corpus Christi has been identified as John Guerra,68, according to the police.

The fatal crash occurred around 7:10 p.m., November 19, in the 2700 block of Gollihar Road near Helen Street.

Police said Guerra was pushing a shopping cart across the street, outside of a crosswalk, in the dark when an unknown vehicle struck him and fled the scene.

Guerra was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries where he died on Monday.

No additional information was provided.

The police are investigating the crash.
