Man Hit, Killed by Car on Gulf Freeway in Houston

Man and His Dog Killed in Houston Pedestrian Accident on Gulf Freeway near Lockwood

Houston, Texas (August 30, 2022) – A 30-year-old man and his dog were fatally hit by a vehicle early Tuesday morning in Houston, according to the police.

The deadly accident happened just after midnight, on the Gulf Freeway near S. Lockwood.

Police said the man and his dog were attempting to cross the street when they walked into traffic and were hit by a northbound Toyota Sienna.

The man and the dog were killed in the crash. The man’s identity has not been released.

The driver and the passenger of the Sienna stayed at the scene and showed no signs of intoxication.

A person in the Sienna might have suffered some cuts but was not taken to the hospital.

The police are investigating the crash.
