One Critically Injured in Houston Pedestrian Accident on Scott Street and Griggs near Bus Stop

Houston, Texas (May 5, 2020) – A pedestrian was critically injured Monday morning after being struck by a suspected DUI driver in Houston, a local news source reported.

The accident happened on May 4, at Scott Street and Griggs near a bus stop.

Authorities said the pedestrian was walking near the bus stop when they were hit by a driver who was believed to have been intoxicated.

The force of the impact caused the victim to hit the front and back windshields of the vehicle. They were taken to a local hospital in critical condition.

The driver has been identified as James Anderson.

An investigation into the crash is underway.
