Jon Cordova Killed in San Antonio Pedestrian Accident on Blanco and Huebner Road

San Antonio, Texas (July 25, 2021) – A man was hit and killed by a vehicle Thursday night in San Antonio, according to the police.

The deadly accident happened around 9:45 p.m., July 22, in the area of Blanco and Huebner Road.

Police said Jon Alan Cordova, 56, was standing against a railing along the sidewalk when he suddenly entered the roadway into the path of a northwest black Dodge Ram.

The Dodge driver tried to avoid Cordova in the roadway but was not able to due to another vehicle that was occupying a nearby lane.

Cordova appeared to have slipped on the wet road as the Dodge driver tried to avoid him. He was then hit by the Dodge.

The Dodge driver pulled into a parking lot and called 911.

Cordova was taken to University Hospital, where he later died.

The Dodge driver was found not to be intoxicated at the time of the crash.

The authorities are investigating the crash.
