Jonah Spahn ID’d as Pedestrian Killed in Bellville Accident on Texas 36
Bellville, Texas (February 2, 2019) – The man who was struck and killed by a vehicle early Friday morning near the town of Bellville has been identified as Jonah Spahn, 25, of Brenham, according to the Department of Public Safety.
The deadly accident happened just after midnight Friday, February 1 on Texas 36, approximately three miles outside Bellville.
The DPS said Spahn was either standing or walking in the road when he was hit by a vehicle that was heading northbound on Texas 36.
The driver involved, a 58-year-old Brenham woman, stopped at the scene and complied with investigators.
Authorities said roads were slick at the time of the accident and visibility was reduced by fog.
The crash remains under investigation.
