19-Year-Old Jonathan Young Killed in Weslaco Car Crash on Business 77 near FM 3168

Weslaco, Texas (May 18, 2019) – A teen was killed in a multi-vehicle accident on Thursday night in Weslaco, according to the DPS.
The wreck happened on Business 77 south of FM 3168 at around 9:45 p.m. Thursday, May 16.
According to the DPS, a 26-year-old Raymondville woman was driving a maroon 2007 Chevrolet Impala northbound on Business 77 when she attempted to swerve to the shoulder of the road and collided with a northbound black 2010 Chevrolet Malibu driven by Jonathan Young, 19, of Raymondville. The impact pushed the Malibu into the southbound side and it collided with an oncoming white 2005 Chevrolet Silverado.
Young was transported to Valley Baptist Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries. His 4-year-old son sustained serious injuries and was flown to a hospital in San Antonio.
The Chevrolet driver was critically hurt and was taken to Valley Baptist Medical Center.
The driver of the Chevrolet Impala was arrested on charges of intoxication manslaughter and intoxication assault.
