Joseph Orchowski Killed in Plano Pedestrian Accident on Preston Road

Joseph Orchowski ID’d as Pedestrian Killed in Plano Crash on Preston Road and Lorimar Drive

Plano, Texas (April 1, 2023) – Authorities have identified the pedestrian who died after being struck by a vehicle on Monday morning in Plano as Joseph Orchowski, 73, of Plano.

The deadly crash occurred at around 6:51 a.m. Monday, March 27, at the intersection of Preston Road and Lorimar Drive.

Police said Orchowski was walking outside of the marked crosswalk when he was struck by a vehicle that was traveling southbound on Preston Road.

The vehicle had the green light and attempted to avoid the pedestrian but was unsuccessful.

Orchowski died in the crash.

Speed was not considered a factor in the crash.

No other information was immediately provided.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
