Passenger Hit, Injured by Vehicle after Fall Out of Car on Houston Raceway Park

Passenger Critically Injured in Houston Raceway Park Pedestrian Accident

Chambers County, Texas (April 1, 2023) – A passenger was struck and injured after falling out of a car during the HPT Shootout event on Saturday in Chambers County.

The incident took place in the parking area of the Houston Raceway Park in Baytown.

Authorities said attendees of the HPT Shootout event were in the back of the parking lot and were driving erratically.

One of the drivers was doing donuts in a field when a passenger fell out of their car and was run over.

The passenger was airlifted to a hospital in critical condition.

Further details regarding the collision were immediately provided.

The crash remains under investigation.
