Josiah Dunn Seriously Injured in Fort Worth Bicycle Accident on Strong Avenue
Fort Worth, Texas (July 13, 2021) – According to the police, an 8-year-old boy was seriously injured Saturday evening in a hit-and-run crash in Fort Worth.
The accident happened around 7:40 p.m., July 10, in 3200 block of Strong Avenue.
Police said Josiah Dunn, 8, was riding a bicycle when he was struck by a vehicle.
The vehicle fled the scene after the accident.
Dunn was taken to a local hospital with severe injuries.
Dunn’s mother, Amiee Johnson, obtained surveillance video from a neighbor and tracked down the vehicle’s license plate to a nearby home where she and others have been protesting.
Officers have identified a person of interest, a juvenile, and the pickup truck which was believed to be involved in the hit-and-run. They have also obtained a video of the hit-and-run. The pickup truck was towed.
