Juan Manuel Mireles Hit, Killed by Car on W. Commerce Street in San Antonio

Juan Manuel Mireles Killed in San Antonio Pedestrian Accident on W. Commerce Street near San Joaquin Avenue

San Antonio, Texas (October 24, 2020) – The man who was killed in a pedestrian accident on Wednesday in San Antonio has been identified as Juan Manuel Mireles, 66, according to police.

The deadly accident occurred around 7:42 p.m., on October 21, in the 5200 block of W. Commerce Street near San Joaquin Avenue.

Police said Mireles was crossing the street, outside of a crosswalk, when he was hit by a westbound Nissan Pathfinder.

Mireles was taken to University Hospital where he later died.

The SUV driver stayed at the scene and was not intoxicated at the time of the crash.

The police are investigating the crash.
