Juan Martinez Jr., Killed in Abilene Bicycle Crash on Pine Street
Abilene, Texas (April 13, 2021) – A man was killed Sunday night in a bicycle accident in north Abilene, according to police.
The deadly accident happened just before 9:00 p.m., April 11, in the 4000 block of Pine Street.
Police said Juan Martinez Jr., 60, of Abilene, was riding a motorized bicycle southbound on the street when he was rear-ended by a 2000 Toyota Corolla.
Martinez was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officers said alcohol was not a factor in the crash.
The police are investigating the crash.
