Juan Martinez Killed in Three-Vehicle Crash on FM 78 in Guadalupe County

66-Year-Old Juan Martinez Killed in Guadalupe County Three-Vehicle Crash on FM 78 at Pioneer Road

Guadalupe County, Texas (March 5, 2020) – One person was killed, and another was injured in a three-vehicle crash last month in Guadalupe County, just east of Marion, according to a Texas Department of Public Safety report.

The fatal crash took place at about 3:25 p.m. February 24, at the intersection of FM 78 and Pioneer Road.

According to the report, a Nissan Pathfinder was heading southbound from FM 1044 to Pioneer Road when it collided with a Dodge Ram 2500, which was heading eastbound on FM 78.

The impact caused the Pathfinder to hit a Chevrolet Camaro, which was facing northbound on Pioneer Road.

Juan Martinez, 66, who was a passenger in the Pathfinder, was declared dead at the scene.

The driver of the Pathfinder was taken to San Antonio Military Medical Center for treatment.

The DPS troopers are investigating the crash.
