Juan Saucedo Killed in 2-Car Accident on U.S. 70 in Hale County

Juan Saucedo ID’d as Plainview Man Killed in Hale County Crash on U.S. 70 near FM 1424
Lubbock, Texas (May 29, 2019) – The Plainview man who was killed early Tuesday morning in a traffic accident in Hale County has been identified as Juan Saucedo, 36, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.
The fatal wreck happened at about 5:42 a.m. Tuesday, May 28 on U.S. 70 near FM 1424.
The DPS said a car was heading northbound on FM 1424 when its driver ran a red light at the intersection at U.S. 70 and collided with another vehicle that was being driven westbound by Saucedo on U.S. 70.
The force of the impact sent both vehicles off the road. Saucedo’s car then flipped over and he was thrown from the vehicle.
Saucedo, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was declared dead at the scene. The other driver was transported to Covenant Hospital in Plainview with incapacitating injuries.
Authorities are investigating the crash.
