One Killed in Sugarland 18-Wheeler Crash at US-59 and Crabb River Road

Sugarland, Texas (July 24, 2021) – According to a local news source, one person was killed Saturday morning in a fiery crash in Sugarland.

The fatal crash happened around 7:00 a.m., in the northbound lanes of the US-59 feeder road at Crabb River Road.

According to the report, the crash involved an 18-wheeler and a pickup truck. Both vehicles caught fire after the collision.

The 18-wheeler was hauling produce and overturned after the crash.

The pickup truck driver was pronounced dead at the scene. Their identity has not been released.

The 18-wheeler driver was uninjured in the crash.

The crash closed US-59 at Crabb River Road for several hours.

The crash remains under investigation.
