Pedestrian Injured in Hit-and-Run Accident on Palm Way in Austin; Alexann Dillard Arrested

One Injured in Austin Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Accident on Palm Way; Alexann Dillard Charged
Austin, Texas (May 8, 2019) – A female pedestrian was injured in a hit-and-run accident Sunday afternoon in Austin, officials said.
The accident occurred just before 4 p.m. May 5, in the 3100 block of Palm Way, in front of The Domain.
Officials said the pedestrian was hit by a westbound Toyota. The force of the impact caused the pedestrian to fall onto an eastbound vehicle, before falling to the ground.
The victim was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
The car driver, 34-year-old Alexann Dillard, fled the scene after the accident but later came back. He was arrested for failing to stop and render aid.
The crash remains under investigation.
