Justin Fields, Deloris Halpain, Victoria Soliz and 16-Year-Old Injured in East Lubbock Motorcycle Crash at 50th Street and Loop 289

Lubbock, Texas (August 10, 2023) – According to the police, four people were injured Wednesday afternoon in a motorcycle crash in East Lubbock.

The crash was reported around 12:29 p.m., August 9, at the intersection of East 50th Street and Loop 289.

Police said a motorcycle driven by Justin Fields, 41, was traveling eastbound on 50th Street while an SUV driven by Victoria Soliz, 36, was traveling northbound on the Loop 289 access road. The motorcycle and the SUV collided at the intersection.

Fields and another passenger on the motorcycle, Deloris Halpain, 34, were taken to University Medical Center with serious injuries.

Soliz was taken to Covenant Medical Center with moderate injuries. A 16-year-old passenger was taken to Covenant Medical Center with minor injuries.

The police are investigating the crash.
