Justin Galindo Killed in Head-On Crash on SL 338 in Odessa

Justin Galindo Killed in Odessa Two-Vehicle Crash on State Loop 338

Odessa, Texas (November 12, 2020) – One person was killed, and another was seriously injured in a head-on collision early Saturday morning in Ector County, according to the Texas DPS.

The fatal crash happened around 3:45 a.m., November 7, on State Loop 338.

Officials said a Dodge Charger was traveling northbound on SL 338, while a Toyota Tundra was traveling southbound.

For unknown reasons, the Dodge crossed the center stripes into the southbound lane and crashed head-on into the Toyota.

The Dodge driver, Justin Galindo, 20 of Odessa, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Toyota driver, William R. Fernstaedt, 54 of Andrews, was taken to Medical Center Hospital in Odessa with serious injuries. He was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.

The crash remains under investigation.
