Fort Worth, Texas (February 19, 2023) – A man was seriously injured earlier this month in a hit-and-run accident in Fort Worth, according to a local news source.

The accident happened on February 9, in the area of Butler Street and McCart Avenue.

According to the report, Karl Enocksen, 63, was crossing the street, heading to the grocery store, in his wheelchair when he was struck by a car.

The car fled the scene after the accident.

Enocksen was thrown 30 feet from his wheelchair and was found lying on the street. He was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

The car was only described as a dark-colored vehicle.

Enocksen’s family said they are searching for the suspect and hopes someone comes forward with information that will lead police to the driver.

An investigation is underway.

Common Causes of Automobile Accidents

There are many different reasons why automobile, pedestrian, 18-wheeler, and motorcycle accidents occur, including driver negligence, driver inattention, texting and driving, speeding, fatigue, failure to yield the right of way from a stop sign, or private drive, running a red light, and driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs. While the factors listed above are the main causes of most accidents, there may also be other factors involved, which is why it’s important that an investigation be conducted before evidence disappears, especially in cases involving a fatality.  At Joel A. Gordon & Associates, we will act quickly to secure accident scene photos, interview witnesses, obtain police records, and secure other valuable evidence needed to win your case.  Call now for a free consultation.
