Adam Flores Killed in Two-Car Crash on SH 48 in Cameron County

Adam Flores Killed in Cameron County Two-Vehicle Crash on State Highway 48

Cameron County, Texas (April 30, 2022) – One person was killed, and another was injured Friday afternoon in a two-vehicle crash in Cameron County, according to the Texas DPS.

The fatal crash happened around 3:20 p.m., April 29, on State Highway 48, across from KeppelAMFELS.

DPS said a black Chevrolet Camaro was traveling westbound on the highway when another westbound vehicle changed lanes. This caused the Camaro driver to take evasive action to avoid a collision. The Camaro driver then lost control of the car, veered into the eastbound lane, and collided with a white Ford F-150.

The Camaro driver, 44-year-old Adam Lee Flores from Brownsville, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Ford driver was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

The crash remains under investigation.

Common Causes of Automobile Accidents

There are many different reasons why automobile, 18-wheeler, and motorcycle accidents occur, including driver negligence, driver inattention, texting and driving, speeding, fatigue, failure to yield the right of way from a stop sign or private drive, running a red light, and driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs. While the factors listed above are the main causes of most accidents, there may also be other factors involved, which is why it’s important that an investigation be conducted before evidence disappears, especially in cases involving a fatality.  At Joel A. Gordon & Associates, we will act quickly to secure accident scene photos, interview witnesses, obtain police records, and secure other valuable evidence needed to win your case.  Call now for a free consultation.
