Kelly Caldwell, Michael Wiser Killed in Head-On Crash on FM 45 in Brown County

Kelly Caldwell, Michael Wiser ID’d as Two Drivers Killed in Brown County Crash on FM 45

Brown County, Texas (March 15, 2023) – The Texas Department of Public Safety has identified the two drivers who died on Tuesday night following a head-on crash in Brown County as Kelly Caldwell, 53, and Michael Joe Wiser, 64.

The crash happened just after 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 14 on FM 45.

DPS said Caldwell was driving a pickup pulling a trailer northbound down the road when, for an unknown reason, he drifted into the other lane and collided head-on with Wiser’s pickup.

Caldwell and Wiser were pronounced dead at the scene.

A passenger in Wiser’s pickup suffered serious injuries in the crash.

DPS is investigating the incident.
