Graford, Texas (November 3, 2021) – Two people were killed Tuesday morning in a head-on collision in Graford, according to the Texas DPS.

The fatal crash happened around 11:25 a.m., November 2, on Texas 337.

DPS said Kenneth Askew, 58, of Graham, was driving a 2014 Chevrolet Camaro at a high rate of speed when he attempted to pass several vehicles and crashed head-on into a southbound 2017 Ford van.

The force of the impact caused both vehicles to catch fire.

Askew and the van driver, Jared Kinnison, 38, of Weatherford, were pronounced dead at the scene.

No other information was available.

The troopers are investigating the crash.
