Kim Yvonne Hayes Killed in 2-Car Accident on Highway 42 in Gregg County

Kim Yvonne Hayes ID’d as Woman Killed in Gregg County Crash on Highway 42 near White Oak
Gregg County, Texas (May 11, 2019) – The woman who was killed Friday morning in a two-car accident near the city of White Oak in Gregg County has been identified as Kim Yvonne Hayes, 61, of Wagoner, Oklahoma, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.
The tragic accident took place at about 7:12 a.m. Friday, May 10 on Highway 42, two miles south of White Oak.
Officials said a 2012 Chevrolet 2500 driven by Michael Buenrostro, 61, of Longview, was heading northbound on Highway 42 when for unknown reasons it veered into the southbound lane and hit a 2018 Chevrolet Silverado operated by Hayes.
Hayes was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident and her body was taken to Lakeview Funeral Home in Longview.
Buenrostro was transported to a hospital in Longview in unknown condition.
An investigation into the crash is underway.
