Kristina Brown Killed in Sour Lake Two-Vehicle Crash on Highway 105

Sour Lake, Texas (August 8, 2020) – Two people, including a mother of three, were killed in a head-on collision Friday morning in Sour Lake, according to authorities.

The fatal crash happened shortly after 11:00 a.m., August 7, on Highway 105.

Police said they received a report of a reckless driver heading northbound on the highway. An officer responded, and when they got into the area, the driver, Rony Hernandez, crossed into the eastbound lanes and crashed head-on into a vehicle driven by 31-year-old Kristina Brown.

Brown was taken to Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital, where she later died. Her boys, a toddler, a 5-year-old and a 6-year-old, who were passengers in the vehicle, were uninjured in the crash.

Hernandez was also killed in the crash.

The authorities are investigating the crash.
