Lance Modisette Killed in Nacogdoches County Two-Car Crash on U.S. 259 near FM 1087

Nacogdoches County, Texas (May 21, 2023) – A senior baseball player from Lufkin was killed on Friday in a two-vehicle crash in northern Nacogdoches County, according to a local news source.

The fatal crash happened on May 19, on U.S. 259, south of FM 1087.

According to the report, two vehicles were involved in the crash. Both vehicles left the roadway and ended up in the woods after the crash.

Lance Modisette, who was a member of the Lufkin Panthers baseball team and the Thundering 13 baseball team, was killed in the crash. He died after an afternoon outing with his Lufkin teammates.

No other information was available.

The crash remains under investigation.
