Larry Anderson Killed in Ector County Two-Vehicle Crash at 10th Street and SH 302

Ector County, Texas (October 5, 2023) – The man who was killed last month in a two-vehicle crash in Ector County has been identified as Larry Lee Anderson,80, of Odessa, according to the Texas DPS.

The fatal crash happened around 4:15 p.m., September 29, at the intersection of 10th Street and SH 302.

DPS said a Mercedes Benz was traveling westbound on 10th Street when it failed to yield the right of way to a Dodge Ram that was heading southbound on SH 302, resulting in a collision.

The Mercedes driver, a 72-year-old Odessa woman, was taken to the hospital with serious injuries and was listed in critical condition. Her passenger, Anderson, was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Two men in the Dodge were uninjured in the crash.

The DPS is investigating the crash.
