Curtis Johnson Injured in Corpus Christi Pedestrian Accident on Staples near Hamlin Middle School
Corpus Christi, Texas (May 8, 2019) – A child was hit by a car on Friday in Corpus Christi, a local news source reported.
The accident happened on Friday, May 3, on Staples in front of Hamlin Middle School.
Reportedly, Curtis Johnson, 12, was attempting to cross the street along with his friend when he was hit by a car. His friend was able to jump out of the roadway.  Johnson was taken to the hospital in unknown condition.
The involved driver fled the scene after the accident. Wilfredo Fax, 28, was later arrested by the police in connection with the hit-and-run.
Fax was charged with hit-and-run and for driving while intoxicated.
An investigation is underway.
