Lee Pryor Killed in Austin Pedestrian Accident on U.S. Route 290

Austin, Texas (October 21, 2021) – The pedestrian who was hit and killed by a van last week Thursday in Austin has been identified as Lee Roy Pryor, 63, according to the police.

The deadly accident happened around 6:38 a.m., in the 6800 block of westbound U.S. Route 290.

Police said a Honda Odyssey was traveling westbound on the highway when it struck Pryor, who was attempting to cross the highway mid-block.

Pryor was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Odyssey driver remained at the scene after the accident.
