Leonardo Teniente Killed in Laredo Pedestrian Accident at Lafayette and San Dario; Marcus Fischer Charged

Laredo, Texas (April 28, 2023) – The man who was killed Friday morning in a hit-and-run accident in Laredo has been identified as Leonardo Teniente, 76, according to the police.

The deadly accident happened on April 21, at the intersection of Lafayette and San Dario.

Police said Marcus Fischer, 22, was driving a blue car northbound on San Dario when he hit Teniente.

Teniente was pronounced dead at the scene.

Fischer left the scene after the accident. He told a family member about what had happened, and that person drove him to police headquarters, where he admitted to his role in the crash. He has been charged with an accident involving death.

The police are investigating the crash.
