Michael Coleman Killed in Hit-and-Run Crash on Highway 31 near Axtell

Michael Coleman ID’d as Man Killed in Axtell Pedestrian Accident on Highway 31

Axtell, Texas (February 19, 2020) – The man who was hit and killed by a vehicle on Monday near Axtell has been identified as Michael Coleman, 52, according to the DPS.

The accident was reported at about 8:30 a.m. February 17, in the westbound lanes of Highway 31, near League Ranch Road.

DPS said Michael Coleman, 52, of Mount Calm, was struck by a vehicle along the westbound lanes of the highway.

The driver fled the scene after the accident.

Coleman was found lying in the grassy median. He was declared dead at the scene.

The authorities are investigating the crash.
